Why pay for something you may not use. We prefer to use an A.R.M.S. style mount such as the throw lever quick connect mounts. If mounting to an AR15, we prefer to use the rail mount and attach it to a rail forend such as the Surefire M73 or the Command Arms m33. UPDATE: We now include at no charge the plastic inserts.
Product Evaluation:  It has now been over Two years that we've added the Aimshot Green lasers to our personal AR's and a range rental sub gun.  No Problems to date with the three we are personally using. One of mine has bounced around in the trunk rack of my cruiser for18 months, on the range at least 50 times. Range Rental: We had one malfunction ,which proved to be a short in the wire to the rat tail switch. Aimshot had a new one to us within 5 business days. We've put many of the green lasers on the streets, both LE and civilians. To date no negative reports.  Our personal Lasers have been bouncing around the store, cars and ranges for over 18 months and are still working. I found one small concern. If you put your AR in the trunk in a soft bag and throw your bug out bag on top. The lasers pressure pad can activate and burn out the batteries. ( Been there). Temporarily until my trunk safe is finished ( been waiting over a month), I've removed the lower rubber band from the pressure pad. This allows it to float and doesn't get pushed while in the soft case.  Trunk safe has been installed for a few months now and the Aimshot Green lasers have held point of aim, the batteries have survived the heat of the summer and a brutal winter without failure.
