Although nylon has been utilized in the
firearms accessory industry for a number of years. It is only
recently that this light weight durable material has seen a
major increase of use in heavy weight Nylon weapon cases,
range bags,
backpacks
and more. The consumer needs to be aware of the possible
quality differences when making a purchasing decision: The
weight of the Nylon and quality of stitching work.
Nylon weight is rated in "Denier" The easiest
explanation when relating to nylon gear is that the larger the
number the thicker the nylon. The "Denier" increases as
the thickness of the fibers increase.
Quality Stitching:
Double stitching - Without physically getting your hands on the
product it is difficult to determine the quality of the
stitching.
An additional factor to
consider when purchasing nylon gear is the thickness of the
padding to protect your firearms investment.
