Eberlestock Gunslinger II

Although the Gunslinger is an excellent organizational tool with the layout of its compartments, with a large and a small tuck-pocket on the outside, two small accessory compartments, a mid-size compartment in the top-cover, and a large main compartment that has both top- and full side-access, you can load the pack with your gear in a way that makes it predictable to locate whatever items you need immediate access to.  You can add external magazine pouches and accessory pouches virtually anywhere on the pack.  On top of this, there is really no way to adequately describe the superiority of this weapons carriage system over the standard shoulder sling. 

The Gunslinger II G2M was developed from the original GS05M Gunslinger.  It has a slightly larger scabbard, to better accommodate weapons with larger cross-sections or bulky optics.  The scabbard is wide at the bottom, giving the option of carrying weapons butt-down or butt-up.  The main bag is the same size as the GS05M, so capacity is about the same.  Like the Operator, it features both front loading and top loading features, giving exceptional flexibility. The scabbard on the G2 folds into the bottom of the pack and is secured by a buckle.  This configuration is good for shorter weapons and other gear; it's also a great place to carry a laptop computer. Also note the side handles; these make it easy to get the loaded pack out of a vehicle, and for mounting the pack with a heavy load.  

The heavy duty compression straps always cause the pack to ride quiet and tight; it can be compressed completely flat.  In this photo, they are routed through the scabbard compression loops, which allows you to selectively compress the scabbard. The top pocket assembly features a handy internal organizer, with several small pockets, pen holders, and a padded pocket which serves equally well for AR magazines or for a PDA.

Hydration sleeves on the back wall, semi-transparent tuck pockets, and Padlock (PALS) webbing fit out the interior.
