What is in the News

As told to me by an employee of another local firearms retail store 8-20-2005

Oops I didn't know the oven was Loaded!

As the story was related to me a lady called their store asking if they do gunsmithing. The clerk asked what kind of problem she was having. The lady said I bought a handgun from you and now doesn't work. The clerk asked the lady to bring the handgun in so that they could see what the problem was.

Well when is arrive the handgun was presented to them in a baggy in 5 pieces and the grips were charred black. She explained that she heard someone at the door and didn't want them to see her handgun so she put it in the oven. Well apparently she forgot about it and turned the oven on the next day.. Yep you guessed it. The loaded gun blew up and messed up the stove really  really bad!  She also said " Can you believe the apartment management wants me to pay for the stove!"? Well Duh!

So folks if a may suggested, don't store your loaded handgun in the oven. A safe would work much better!
