Man charged in double homicide
A suspect arrested in the weekend slayings of an Eastside couple
was charged today with two counts of murder.
Victor Glenn, 28, is in Marion County Jail and also
was charged with robbery, intimidation and two counts
of felony murder, according to a news release from the
Marion County prosecutor's office. If convicted, he
would face up to 153 years in prison.
Last Friday night a man entered the North Temple Avenue home of Jason
Myers, Daneka Ratcliff and their four children, police said. Ratcliff
died instantly after being struck by a rifle bullet.
Myers also was shot and died later at a hospital. Both Myers and
Ratcliff were 28.
Ratcliff's teenage daughter witnessed the shootings, according to the
news release. Glenn told investigators he was not a bad guy because he
didn't kill everyone in the home, the probable cause affidavit said.
"While every murder is tragic, there can be few things worse than
watching someone shoot and kill your parent," Prosecutor Carl Brizzi
said in the release.
"We are going to do everything possible to keep Victor Glenn off the
street so that he doesn't have the opportunity to harm anyone else."
