Shotgun Picatinny rail
 Our
long time loyal customers are very familiar with the image of
the Remington 870 shotgun with the full length Picatinny rail
shown on the right. This rail up to now has not existed except in
this image of the Remington 870 with a Mesa Tactical stock kit.
We have been fielding inquiries for over two years to only
disappoint shotgun owners because the set up is not available.
We have great news!
We are another step closer to
producing a full length Picatinny rail for new Remington 870's
and
Mossberg 500/590 series shotguns. The image on the left is our
latest prototype to fit the Mesa Tactical stocked Remington 870
shotgun.
The first models we will be
producing will be for the latest versions of the Remington 870
and
Mossberg 500/590 shotguns which are factory drilled and taped
for scope bases. They will be designed to fit full length 18
-18.5" barrels and come up just short on the 20" models. The
final product will utilize a slightly different front mounting
system which we believe offers a cleaner looking installation.
The rails will be CNC from one solid piece of Aluminum and
black
 anodized for a clean lasting
finish.
Later we plan to offer Dura-coat options in desert tan, OD Green
etc.
Although we do not have all
the production figures completed, we anticipate an opening MAP
(Minimum advertised price) at approximately $189.95 and
$239.95 retail - including all mounting hardware.
We are hoping for a December
2008 or January 2009 availability for the 1st run of Mossberg and
Remington 870 picatinny rails.
We will also be offering
dealer programs in the 1st quarter. -
Once the final prototype is
completed, we will be taking pre-manufacture orders in the 1st
or 2nd week of December.
The images show our latest
prototype in unfinished white (raw metal). The final product will be shortened
in the back approx 1" for a cleaning look and to clear the
Mossberg rear safety. We will include receiver screws for both
Remington 870 and Mossberg 500/590 series, in addition we will
include a separate front clamp for Mossberg and Remington. |
