Surefire Tactical Shotgun Light Evaluations
We have
many years experience with the surefire product line and can't
really think of a bad thing to say about it. Our employees use
Surefire products at the store and while on duty, for work and
for play. We have only been able to break one or two of them.
In fact we ran over a 6p with a Dixie Chopper mower. The only
thing it did was take a couple of really big chunks out of the
tube and bezel. We replaced the bulb and still use it 2 years
later.
The
shotgun integral weapons light is a great add on accessory for
anyone with a real need for an entry package. Or if you simply
want to light things up on the home front. All our duty
shotguns have the Surefire light installed on them. They are
between 7 years and 3 months old without one unit breaking
down. Without a spanner wrench they are a little bit of
a pain to install. Without the wrench you must remove your
magazine tube from the receiver. Otherwise a straight forward
install. Same goes for the install of the Picatinny
replacement rails. They too are a nice new addition to your
shotgun should you wish to add a vertical grip and/light.
Please note should you choose not to install a vertical grip
on the rail, use a Tac glove . Just a few sharp edges for the
some of our group (me).
X200A Led
Great little light. Not as bright as the M3 or the Z5, but the
batteries and bulb are like the energizer Bunny. They just
keep going and going no matter what I do to it. I
changed out my weapons light on my Duty Glock to the X200.
After 6 months, still same batteries, several rain storms and
one skid across the interstate. Has a little road rash but
still works great.
